Sports and Games

Royal Academy is a hub for producing great players with true sportsperson spirit. The school takes the pride of its enormous lush green playgrounds, where games like Football, Cricket, Volleyball, Throwball, HandBall, Track and Field etc takes place. The huge campus area with a green playground makes it an ideal place for students of each age group to cherish their sportsmanship and physical fitness.

The School organises three mega inter-school tournaments for both boys and girls namely -

• R.K MEMORIAL FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT
• ROYAL'S INTER SCHOOL GIRL’S THROWBALL TOURNAMENT
• N.K. SANGHAI MEMORIAL INTER SCHOOL CRICKET TOURNAMENT

We organise various inter-house competitions for boys and girls in various sports such as Kho-Kho, Table-Tennis, Badminton, Tracks and Fields, Cross-Country, Junior/Senior Football, Volleyball, Cricket, Throwballs, Handball etc.

Achievements

• The middle school Football Team became the CHAMPIONS in the inter-school football tournament organised by the Global Endeavour International School.
• Our school Cricket Team became the RUNNERS UP in the DATTU-PHADKAR Inter-School Cricket Tournament 2018.
• In the N.K. Sanghai cricket tournament organised by Royal Academy, the Royalites reached to the SEMI's.
• In the Inter-School Girl's Throwball Tournament organised by Royal Academy, our girls were the Runners-Up.
• Our student backed a Gold Medal in the district level athletic meet organised by SMKP (Women’s Sports Association).
• Our Student also got a Silver in Senior Shot-put (Girl’s) throw competition, organised by Himalayan International Residential School.
• Our Student brought us two medals by winning Gold in a 100m track race and Bronze in the long jump (Senior).
• Champion in the 1st and 11th Surendra Agarwal Memorial Cricket Tournament held at DPS, Siliguri in 2007 and 2016 respectively.
• Champion in the R.K. Memorial Football Tournament in the three consecutive years viz 2012, 2013, 2014.
• Champion in the Inter-School Girls Throw Ball Competition 2014 conducted by NBSCC.
